How to Apply for an Early College Class

To register for Early College courses you will need to create an account on the ExplorEC Portal at  ExplorEC is designed to facilitate the development of networks between the high schools and UMM, making it easier for students to sign up for classes and expedite data collection.  ExplorEC will help UMM and your high school work together seamlessly to provide a bridge to better serve students, parents, teachers, college faculty, and EC administrators.

Step 1:  Go to and click high school student

Step 2:  Click Set up a new account or login if you already have an account.

Step 3:  Enter your personal information

Step 4:  Apply for Classes

Step 5:  Read and sign the student agreement

Step 6:  Fill out your release of information

Step 7:  Have your parent/guardian fill out the consent form.  You can do this with them while logged into your account or send them an email.

Step 8:  Your school counselor will get a notification email asking them to approve your course selection(s).

How to Drop or Withdraw from an Early College Class

Step 1:  Go to

Step 2:  Log into your account

Step 3:  Click on Drop/WD Classes

Step 4:  Select the class you want to drop/withdraw from and tell us why and then hit submit.

Step 5:  An email to your school counselor and the early college office.  The early college office will drop or withdraw your after your school counselor says it is okay.
